  • UPDATE: Terrorism Insurance Bill and NARAB II Signed by the President

    Jan 15, 2015
    In one of the biggest legislative victories for the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America (IIABA or the Big “I”) in a decade, a bill extending the Terrorism Risk Insurance Act (TRIA) program and establishing the National Association of Registered Agents and Brokers (NARAB II) was signed into law by President Barack Obama on Jan. 12. The Big “I” praised the President for signing H.R. 26, the “Terrorism Risk Insurance Program Reauthorization Act of 2015,” into law.

    IIAT continues its tradition of providing insurance markets for small independent agencies with the acquisition of Dallas-based managing general agency LevelFirst, LLC. Operating as IIAT Services MGA, the new company will expand the ability of IIAT to offer member agencies access to commercial lines markets traditionally unavailable to smaller agencies.
