IIAT's
Custom Training Brings Our Professional Instruction to Your Office
IIAT's extensive line of courses is available to your staff—on your terms
in your office. IIAT classes taught for your office are convenient and more
efficient than formal classes in regional locations. Everyone wins!
- Managers know exactly what is being taught and can follow up after class
to be sure that new ideas and information are acted upon.
- Your staff gets the answers to specific questions regarding specific accounts,
coverage, exclusions or procedures.
- Employees feel a part of the agency team, focused on customer service.
You choose the course
IIAT has more than 70 personalized course options ranging from personal and
commercial lines to customer service, and life and health.
Customized instruction
The presentation is tailored to meet your individual needs. An instructor will
contact you prior to the program to determine the experience of your staff and
the procedures or information most critical to your operations. Course selections
also allow you to choose the classes your staff needs, when they need them.
CE credits
Most of IIAT's courses qualify for CE hours required by TDI for your license
renewal. Licensees in your office can earn their required hours at the same
time. Each course description lists the number of approved hours.
Convenient
You choose the date and time for your class, arrange for meeting space and select
the students who will be participating. We do the rest, including making the
instructors' travel arrangements and preparing materials.
Team building
Your staff will draw closer together through personalized training classes that
build their confidence and team spirit.
Confidential
Your staff can discuss problems and procedures openly, away from your competition.
Hire a professional for an inside job
IIAT instructors are all professional trainers with years of insurance experience.
They understand your problems and can provide specific answers in a confidential
manner. With thousands of hours of training experience, these instructors know
how other organizations operate and can help you compare procedures and policies.
Economical
You save the time, travel and lodging costs for your staff while all your staff
gets the advantage of important and accurate information. IIAT charges a fee
per day with a discount for multiple days. This fee includes the instructor's
travel and room accommodations. You are responsible for equipment rental and
meeting room charges. The least expensive place to hold the class, of course,
is in your office if you have the space. Options used by other clients include
hotels, chamber of commerce meeting rooms, and other commercial meeting spaces.
Obviously, with more students, your cost per student goes down. Smaller organizations
may wish to “share” the class with another agency in the same location
as a means of reducing expenses.
Fees and costs
IIAT member agency and associate member fees—The
daily fee varies by the number of students in the class. Costs are estimated
in advance of the class, but the final billing will be based on the actual number
of students participating. Fees are shown below. These fees include the cost
of instruction, materials, instructor travel and lodging and shipping. There
are no other expenses charged to you by IIAT.

What other costs will I incur?—It is your responsibility
to acquire a suitable meeting room, in or out of the agency. You will want to
make arrangements to provide students with coffee and sodas if the class is held
outside the agency. A screen is desirable, but not essential to the class.
How do I relate these costs to what I am paying now for education?—The
average daily registration fee charged by IIAT for regional classes is $115
per student. The average class delivers up to 7.5 CE credit hours. In comparing
costs, you should also consider the expenses of travel, meals and lodging for
students attending a regional class. Here are some examples.
- Example #1
You have 12 students who need CE credit.
You construct a one-day class (maximum 8 hours) that meets their needs using
the IIAT Custom Training curriculum.
Custom Training: $1,350 daily fee = $112 per student .
That's a savings of $3 per student over the average registration fee for
a single day class ($115) offered by IIAT, and that's not including the
travel and meal costs that are saved.
- Example #2
You build a two-day class on a variety of subjects.
The first day, 12 students participate. The second day, a total of 18 students
attend.
Custom Training: $1,350 first day (12 students) + $1,318 second
day (18 students) = $2,668 ($89 per student)
That's a savings of $26 over the cost of a regional class.
- Example #3
You are worried about taking your staff away from their desks for an entire
day. You arrange a one-day class with IIAT and offer it on two consecutive
days, for 12 students. Half the students attend the morning class each day,
and the other half attend the afternoon class.
Custom Training: $1,350 first day (12 students) + $1,148 second
day (12 students) = $2,498 ($208 per student)
That's more than the regional class fee of $115, but you save travel, lodging
and meals, plus your staff is not out for an entire day. One way to reduce
this cost is to share the class with another agency in your town.
