Farm & Ranch Connections Program

Republic Farm & Ranch Program

The Republic Group* (Republic), Dallas, offers a farm and ranch program. Coverage is available for farm dwellings, other farm property, machinery and livestock plus farm and personal liability. Also included are a farm umbrella product and farm automobile coverage. The policies are broad and flexible. Agribusiness expert Roll Wagner will lead the program.

Stroud

Stroud National Agency, Inc., Ruidoso, has been in the insurance business for more than 40 years, currently serves states throughout the Midwest, Southwest and Western U. S. They are serving as Republic’s underwriter and processor for this program.

Program features

• Republic’s member companies have a Best's Rating of A- (Excellent).
• MGA access to additional markets such as St. Paul Travelers Agribusiness and American Reliable.
• No volume requirements.
• Useful information such as underwriting guidelines and insurance-related sales and marketing materials.
• A single source Farm contact center, open 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Central time, Monday-Friday.
• You retain ownership of the business.
• Online quoting.

How the program works

• You must be a member of IIAT to access the program.
• Agencies enroll in the program at iiat.org
• Complete the Farm Producer Application.
• Fax or mail Farm Producer Application with a copy of E&O declarations page (must carry $1,000,000 limit) and copy of active licenses.
• Applicants are subject to program eligibility requirements (some agents may not qualify); if you have questions about your eligibility, please go to the IIAT.org web site.
• After receiving notice of approval (5 working days), agency will need to sign and return the IIAT Sub-Producer Agreement which will be sent upon profile approval).
• After paperwork is complete, the agency will receive a production code number to access the program.

Program coverages

Farm & ranch owners

Select from:

• Basic, broad or all-risk coverage options to protect farm home, contents, outbuildings and farm machinery.
• Replacement cost coverage: Home may be insured for its replacement cost (contents and outbuildings available at an additional cost).
• Farm Liability: $100,000 is automatically included with the policy. Coverages available at limits up to $1,000,000.
• Deductibles: Various deductible combinations available on most coverages.
• Farm Umbrella limits available up to $2,000,000.

• $1,500 on watercraft
• $1,500 on trailers
• $2,500 on jewelry
• $2,500 on guns
• $2,500 on business property
• $1,500 on credit cards, forgery, counterfeit money
• $1,500 on well pumps
• $1,500 on power poles
• $2,500 on farm operations records
• $10,000 on pollutant clean-up & removal
• $50,000 limit for newly acquired items for 30 days
• $500 on fire department
• $500 on glass breakage in cabs
• $500 on refrigerated food
• 10% of coverage C on trees, plants, shrubs

Note: If you have an existing appointment with a member of The Republic Group to write farm and ranch insurance, you will continue to submit business directly to that carrier; however, as an IIAT member, you are still eligible to write through Stroud’s other carriers in the program.
