The 8th Annual
Young Agents Retreat will be held at the Hyatt Lost Pines near Bastrop. This relaxed
retreat provides the perfect chance for young agents to get professional encouragement,
sales advice and networking, in an affordable, compact event. From the time young
agents gather for the kickoff technical seminars, to the evening reception,
dinner and entertainment, to the next day's golf tourney, they will be side-by-side
with like-minded producers and company representatives who've proven their commitment
to building lasting relationships with young agents and their agencies.
Who: IIAT members 40 years old and younger or new to the business.

Early arrivals and late departures will be charged $219 + tax (based on availability). All reservations must be made through IIAT with a credit card.

10 a.m. to noon • Young Agent Technical Update – Filed
for 2 CE credits
During this workshop, the IIAT staff will brief you on current regulatory and governmental issues important to agents, as well as the latest industry news on the marketplace.
12 noon • Lunch
1:30 to 5:30 p.m. • The Insurance Game – Filed
for 4 CE credits
The IIAT education team will lead participants in a fun interactive,
and imaginative look at the industry called The Insurance Game. The
4-hour workshop (which will include breaks for refreshments and
networking) places young agents in groups where together they will:
face all of the challenges of the underwriting cycle; make decisions
that determine the results of their simulated organization; and face
the consequences of those decisions as the losses and investment results
are revealed.
6:30 p.m. • Reception
7 p.m. • Dinner
An opportunity to sit and enjoy a great meal in a warm resort atmosphere with friends and colleagues without it feeling like a meeting.
8:30 p.m. • After Dinner Social
You’re welcome to join us in the resort lounge with fabulous views, the conversation and a drink or two will combine to make a fantastic ending to a rewarding day.
