The Independent Insurance Agents of Texas (IIAT) elected Jeffrey L. Brady of Brady, Chapman, Holland & Associates (BCH) in Houston, to serve as chair for 2018-19 during IIAT’s 121st Annual Conference and Trade Show in San Antonio. With nearly 1,600 member agencies in 225 counties, IIAT is the largest state association of independent insurance agents and professionals in the U.S.
Jeff started his insurance career in 1985 by joining the newly formed Brady, Chapman, Holland & Associates, Inc. in Houston (the firm was founded in 1983 by Jeff’s father, Tim Brady, and two partners, Lonnie Holland and Ed Chapman). In 1994, Jeff became a shareholder in the firm, 1996 the president, 2003 the CEO, and in 2017, the chairman. Jeff holds a General Lines P&C and General Lines Life, Accident and HMO license, a Risk Managers license and a surplus lines license. He is a Certified Insurance Counselor and a Certified Risk Manager.
Jeff has served on various committees with the Independent Insurance Agents of Houston (IIAH) and IIAT. He served on the IIAH Board and as its president in 1997-1998. He is a past recipient of IIAT’s Young Agent of the Year award, the IIAH John Daniel Outstanding Committee Chairperson Award and the IIAH Outstanding Service Award.
Jeff has been and is currently active with several insurance company advisory panels on a local, regional and national basis; including Amerisure, Central Mutual, CNA, Encompass, Fireman’s Fund, Hartford, and Texas Mutual. BCH is a founding partner of RiskProNet International (RPN) and Jeff has served on the RPN Board of Directors.
Jeff has been active in several charities and is Past President of LutherHill Ministry (2015-2017) in LaGrange, Texas. Jeff and his wife Stephanie are members of Kinsmen Lutheran Church where they have both been active for over 30 years. They have two grown sons, one daughter-in-law and four grandchildren.
