Starting January 31, IIAT will no longer offer live TIIA classes. However, your TIIA designation will still be active. Here's how to maintain your TIIA designation and add the CISR designation to your credentials.
To maintain the TIIA designation:
- Complete 12 hours of IIAT-approved continuing education every two years. Here’s how:
- Register for IIAT CE classes and/or webinars
- Register for online classes through ABEN
- Earn 4 CE hours by attending any IIAT conference throughout the year.
To add the CISR to your credentials:
- Attend a CISR courses by 9/30/2023
You will be eligible to receive the CISR designation upon successful completion of any one of the nine CISR courses listed below. Completion of the course is equivalent to your first CISR update.

- Maintain the CISR Designation
To maintain the CISR designation, refer to The National Alliance requirements at https://www.scic.com/programs/cisr/
- Receive Confirmation from The National Alliance.
The National Alliance will send confirmation of your attainment of the CISR designation. Please allow up to two weeks for processing.
