AI-generated content is becoming easier to identify and that could matter for your agency.
OpenAI, Google, Anthropic and other AI companies are developing watermarking and content-provenance technologies that can help identify AI-generated text, images, audio and video. For insurance agencies, the biggest issues aren’t about avoiding AI. They’re about transparency, compliance and making sure human oversight stays part of the process.
AI watermarks can show up in everyday agency workflows, including marketing content, client communications, policy summaries, training materials and AI-generated audio or video. But a watermark only provides information about content origin—it does not guarantee that the content is accurate, compliant or appropriate for a client.
The same applies to SEO. Using AI to create content does not automatically hurt search rankings. The bigger risk is publishing generic, lightly edited AI content that adds little value. Agencies will get better results by combining AI efficiency with real insurance expertise, local knowledge and human review.
As AI transparency requirements continue to evolve, insurance professionals should understand how these technologies work—and how to use AI responsibly without slowing down innovation.
