Marit's Leadership Book Club: Atomic Habits

Atomic Habits
by James Clear

“Success is the product of daily habits—not once-in-a-lifetime transformations.” James Clear’s self-improvement book Atomic Habits is a comprehensive guide on how to change your habits and get 1% better every day. James Clear talks about how time magnifies the margin between success and failure. It will multiply whatever you feed it. Good habits make time your ally. Bad habits make time your enemy.

I found this book motivating and eye-opening. This book challenges us by stating that, “if you want better results, then forget about setting goals. Focus on your system instead.” He reminds us that the most effective way to change your habits is to focus not on what you want to achieve, but on who you wish to become. You should be far more concerned with your current trajectory than with your current results. If you’re looking to make changes in your life, this is the book!
