Bill Harrison, Jr. of San Antonio Receives 2026 Drex Foreman Award

IIAT is proud to announce William “Bill” Harrison, Jr., president of TASA Risk Solutions in San Antonio, as the 2026 recipient of the Drex Foreman Award, the association’s highest honor.

The award was presented by former IIAT President and past Drex Foreman Award recipient Don Whitaker during IIAT’s Industry Excellence Awards Luncheon at INSURCON on June 16 at the JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa.

Each year, the Drex Foreman Award recognizes an individual whose career reflects extraordinary service, leadership, integrity and commitment to the independent agency system. The award is reserved for leaders whose influence extends beyond their own agencies and whose work has strengthened the profession for agents across Texas and beyond.

Harrison’s career has done exactly that.

William "Bill" Harrison, Jr. and Don Whitaker

A proud graduate of Texas A&M University, Harrison earned a degree in finance before beginning his career with a Wall Street financial institution in New York. He later returned home to San Antonio, joined his family’s agency and built a career rooted in risk management, property and casualty insurance, and service to others. After his family sold the agency, Harrison founded TASA Risk Solutions.

Throughout his career, Harrison has given generously of his time and leadership to IIAT. He has served as IIAT president, chaired key committees, served on the Board of Directors and represented Texas in national leadership. His service has also extended to the Big “I,” where he has served on several national boards and committees. He has also received the Woodworth Memorial Award, the highest honor an agent can receive from the Big “I.”

Harrison’s impact reaches well beyond the insurance industry. In San Antonio, he has served organizations including Leadership San Antonio, Rotary International, Mission Road Ministries, the Palmer Drug Abuse Program, Trinity Baptist Church and the San Antonio Livestock Exposition.

Those who know Harrison know that while his résumé is impressive, his character is what truly stands out. He is steady, generous and deeply committed to the people and institutions he serves. He leads without seeking the spotlight and has spent his career strengthening the independent agency system for today’s agents and for the generations who will follow.

That spirit of service reflects the very best of IIAT’s mission to expand the value and influence of independent insurance agencies through advocacy, information, training, business solutions, professional networking and market resources.

Please join IIAT in congratulating William “Bill” Harrison, Jr., the 2026 recipient of the Drex Foreman Award.
