ELITExas and IIAT Raise $10,000 for Providence Place

ELITExas is proud to announce that it raised $10,000 for Providence Place, a San Antonio-based women’s shelter that helps victims of domestic violence and human trafficking. ELITExas raised $4,500 at its “Cornhole for a Cause” fundraiser at IIAT’s annual conference, INSURCON, on Wednesday, June 22, at the JW Marriott Hill Country San Antonio. Conference attendees made donations for the chance to compete in a cornhole tournament. IIAT made an additional donation of $5,500.

ELITExas Chair Billy Crocker presented a check to Providence Place COO Regina Murphy and CPO Angelica Cervantes during IIAT’s Annual Awards Brunch and Business Meeting at INSURCON. “This generous donation will help us support all the women and children we serve,” said Providence Place CPO Angelica Cervantes.

Providence Place is a faith-based, non-profit and adoption agency that provides multipurpose programming to adult survivors of violence, women facing an unplanned pregnancy, families with young children and youth in foster care. To date, Providence Place has placed more than 6,000 children in homes. The organization also provides job training and job search assistance, counseling, and necessities like diapers and baby formula

“Last fiscal year we served over 4,000 families and children. Because of the support from generous organizations like IIAT and ELITExas, we can help improve the quality of life for the people we serve through mental health services, housing services, material assistance, and the love and care people need to move forward,” said Cervantes.
