Help IIAT Cultivate Deep-Rooted Relationships at the Texas Capitol

Did you know? Because of networking connections made possible by contributions to IMPACT, the IIAT Government Affairs team helps pass important insurance legislation and block bills that are bad for business.

Last legislative session, IIAT’s Government Affairs team worked with the authors of these two no-nonsense, common-sense bills, from start to finish:

  • Senate Bill 6, which provided liability protection to businesses, physicians, healthcare equipment providers, and educational entities from frivolous lawsuits during the COVID-19 outbreak.
  • Senate Bill 1602, which mandates insurance agents and carriers non-renew someone who failed to cooperate with claims investigation following a crash.

The relationship between our team and the elected officials began by making a campaign contribution.

The seed we plant by making an IMPACT contribution to a candidate’s campaign grows into the deep-rooted relationship that provides our team access once that candidate becomes a member of the Texas House of Representatives or Texas Senate.

It takes time to cultivate these relationships, but it all starts with IMPACT.

We hope you help us by donating today!
