IIAT Promotes Lee Loftis to Chief Legislative Officer - Regan Ellmer Joins as New Director of Government Affairs

IIAT is pleased to announce the promotion of H. Lee Loftis, Jr., and the addition of Regan Ellmer to the IIAT Government Affairs team.

Loftis, who has been IIAT’s Director of Government Affairs since 2006, will serve as the association’s Chief Legislative Officer. “We are excited about the plans for our Government Affairs division. Lee and Regan will make a strong team and we will continue to make a lasting impact for our industry,” said IIAT President & Executive Director Marit Peters.

Joining Loftis as the new Director of Government Affairs is Regan Ellmer. Ellmer brings a wealth of Capitol knowledge to IIAT. He served six years as a staffer and was Chief of Staff for Representative Andrew Murr from 2015-2018. Most recently, Ellmer was the Government Affairs Specialist at the Texas Department of Insurance where he worked closely on matters dealing with insurance.

“Regan’s talents and experience at the Capitol will be a great asset to IIAT and we are excited to have him on our team. I have enjoyed working with Regan both from his Capitol days and his time at TDI,” said Loftis. Regan is expected to begin at IIAT in mid-August.
