Nora Vasquez of Weatherby-Eisenrich, in Andrews, was named the 2021 Account Manager of the Year at IIAT’s annual awards ceremony and business meeting. The annual ceremony took place on June 25, during IIAT’s INSURCON, at the Kalahari in Round Rock. The Account Manager of the Year award is given annually to an account manager in Texas who exemplifies outstanding leadership and service to the independent agency system and to the public at large.
“The challenges of the past year revealed many heroes and Nora is counted among them,” said Weatherby-Eisenrich Vice President Jacob Eisenrich. As an account executive with a 30-year history at Weatherby-Eisenrich, Nora has a reputation for caring and competence. She's supported clients through the many ups and downs of the oil & gas industry, and when the pandemic started, Nora went out of her way to help clients navigate uncertainty with timely service and creative solutions.
“Nora's heart for others is most brilliantly demonstrated in the way she supported her community during the pandemic,” said Eisenrich. Nora personally supported dozens of people by providing meals as they recovered from COVID. She also helped more than one hundred people schedule their COVID vaccine. Many in her community, especially the elderly, had trouble navigating the technological or language barriers as they tried to schedule appointments. Nora started by helping friends and family members. Soon, she was taking calls from strangers and she'd help them navigate websites or personally call clinics on their behalf.
“Nora gives her time, talent, and energy to be there for others during their time of need. She is a blessing to Weatherby-Eisenrich Insurance, her clients, and her community. I can think of nobody more deserving of this award,” said Eisenrich.
