Robert Rochelle Receives André P. Juneau ELITExan of the Year Award

At the annual awards ceremony and business meeting during IIAT’s INSURCON on June 25, the Independent Insurance Agents of Texas named Robert Rochelle the 2025 André P. Juneau ELITExan of the Year. The ceremony took place at the JW Marriott Hill Country Resort in San Antonio.

Named in honor of André P. Juneau—a visionary leader whose legacy continues to inspire the Texas insurance industry—the ELITExan of the Year award recognizes an exceptional young agent whose career and character reflect the highest standards of excellence, leadership, integrity, and vision.

Robert Rochelle, founder and principal of Steward Insurance Risk Management in San Antonio, exemplifies those values in every aspect of his work.

After rising rapidly through the ranks at major firms—including becoming the youngest partner at one by age 32—Robert launched his own brokerage focused on the complex insurance needs of clients in the energy, construction, real estate, and manufacturing sectors.

Robert has played a key role in high-impact mergers and acquisitions, pioneered technology-driven solutions, and helped redefine what it means to be a modern independent broker. His approach fuses relationship-based service with insurtech innovation, ensuring clients receive smarter, more efficient risk management.

His credentials include CPCU, CIC, ERIS, and CRIS designations. Robert’s excellence has been recognized nationally: he was named a 2022 Power Broker in Traditional Energy by Risk & Insurance Magazine, a Power Broker Finalist and Rising Star in 2021, and one of Insurance Business America’s Top 50 “Young Guns.” He’s also been honored with the San Antonio Business Journal’s “40 Under 40” and “Who’s Who in Energy” awards.

Beyond his professional achievements, Robert is deeply committed to his community. For over a decade, he has mentored youth through Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Texas and raised more than $150,000 for local nonprofits. He has revitalized the reach of numerous civic organizations and held leadership roles with the Urban Land Institute, Rotary Club of San Antonio, and Young Professionals in Energy.

Congratulations, Robert!
