Effective September 1, 2021, Insurance Agents’ Professional Liability policy forms and rates are no longer required to be filed with the Texas Department of Insurance. This means it is much easier for insurance carriers who write Agent’s Professional Liability in Texas to change their coverage forms. The result for agents is that their E&O policies may be subject to significant changes in coverage in the future.
