Big congratulations to Reedy High School in Frisco, Texas! The school took first place in the 2025 Innovation in Action Challenge, a national marketing competition that encourages high school students to reimagine the image of the insurance industry for their peers.
The challenge was hosted by Invest, a nonprofit organization dedicated to educating young people about insurance and the many career opportunities within the industry. Through classroom programs and national competitions, Invest works to build awareness and excitement around insurance careers, helping to ensure a vibrant future for the industry. This year’s Innovation in Action Challenge, launched in partnership with DECA, drew 151 entries from 22 states. Invest's partnership with DECA, an organization focused on empowering students for career readiness, allowed the challenge to reach beyond the U.S. to include 18 international submissions.
Texas’ own Reedy High School stood out for their creative and compelling campaign, showcasing the innovation and leadership that independent insurance agents value so highly. Their winning video, along with those from the other top teams, is now featured on Invest’s website and across multiple industry platforms.
The full list of winners includes:
-
First Place: Reedy High School (Frisco, Texas)
-
Second Place: Anthony Wayne High School (Whitehouse, Ohio)
-
Third Place (Tie): South Gwinnett High School (Snellville, Georgia) and Ravenwood High School (Brentwood, Tennessee)
Each winning team earned a cash prize, and Invest is also celebrating their teachers with classroom pizza parties—recognizing the essential role educators play in preparing the next generation of insurance professionals.
“We look forward to continuing to help students creatively explore the many opportunities within our beloved insurance industry," said Whitnee Dillard, Invest executive director. The challenge will return next year with an exciting new theme, thanks in part to a $10,000 grant from the Spencer Educational Foundation.
