Updated Commission Schedule and Splits for IIAT Advantage Markets

IIAT is implementing a new commission payout structure to provide better clarity and consistency for IIAT members using Advantage Markets. These changes are the result of a detailed review conducted by the Advantage Markets and Accounting teams and have been reviewed and approved by the IIAT Board of Directors.

Please note: These updates are for commissions paid through IIAT’s Advantage Markets program only. The updates do not apply to commissions paid by IIABA’s Big I Alliance market access program. Information about the Big I Alliance program can be found HERE.

Here’s What You Need to Know:

• Commission payments will now be split by a consistent percentage per program (to align with many other market access programs like IIABA).
• The new splits align closely with the way revenue is already being distributed—so there’s little change in earnings for most markets.
• These updates should make commission reconciliation easier for your team.
• You will have the ability to reference carrier gross commission statements for each carrier anytime.

This new process kicks in for June 2025 commissions earned (released in late June or early-to-mid July)

What's NOT changing?

What is not changing is our speed at releasing commissions to agents in our program. Payments processed by IIAT are typically released within 5-7 business days of receipt from the carrier.
