The Texas Department of Insurance has issued a bulletin informing insurers writing automobile insurance in Texas that, due to a recent change in law, the Motor Vehicle Crime Prevention Authority (MVCPA) fee is increasing to $5.
Insurers that want to recoup the increased MVCPA fee from policyholders should submit rate filings and may need to submit form filings.
