New board members and officers were introduced during IIAT’s annual awards ceremony & business meeting during INSURCON at the Kalahari in Round Rock on June 25. Gaylon Brown of TexCap Insurance in Dallas, was elected as IIAT chair for 2021-2022. Mark Bridges of INSURICA in Amarillo, will serve as chair-elect; and Josh Andrajack of Boley-Featherston in Wichita Falls, will serve as vice-chair.
Elected to the board of directors were Kyle Dean, with Dean & Draper in Houston, and Christy Ross, with C A Ross Insurance Agency in San Angelo.
Meet Your New IIAT Chair, Gaylon Brown
Gaylon Brown is CEO and Managing Partner of TexCap Insurance in Dallas. He graduated from Hardin Simmons University in 1971 and began his insurance career with Millerman & Millerman Insurance Agency (M&M). Brown became a partner at M&M in 1975, which was later sold to Brook Crawford & Associates in 1992, and subsequently to Hilb, Rogal & Hamilton (HRH) in 1994. Brown served as Executive Vice President of HRH until his resignation in October 2005, at which time he helped found TexCap Insurance.
Brown has served on many insurance company advisory boards, state and local associations, and committees. He is a past president of the Independent Insurance Agents of Dallas.
Gaylon is married to Sue and has three grown children. He is a member of Park Cities Baptist Church and Gleneagles Country Club.
